Armistead Maupin's Tales of the City, very soon coming up on
Netflix in June, here we have gathered the details like release date, cast, trailer,
and the plot of the upcoming adaptation of the book by Armistead Maupin.
When will Tales of the City release?
The Netflix original series will consist of 10 Episodes, but
there is no news about the titles. All episodes are around an hour long and
will release at once onto the streaming service. The Tales of the City has an all-star cast will release on 7 June 2019.

Beginning with Mary Ann in a cab driving into San Francisco
as the voiceover says: “When I first got
off the bus years ago, I had the strangest feeling that I’d come home.” Netflix
released the trailer in April. This is the fourth version of the series
following 1993’s Tales of the City, 1998’s More Tales of the City and 2001’s Further Tales of the City.

We will watch the beginning of the new chapter in the story,
as the Netflix Plot summary reads:
“Mary Ann (played by Laura Linney) returns to present-day
San Francisco and is reunited with her daughter Shawna (Ellen Page) and
ex-husband Brian (Paul Gross), twenty years after leaving them behind to pursue
her career.
“Fleeing the midlife crisis that her picture-perfect
Connecticut life created, Mary Ann is quickly drawn back into the orbit of Anna
Madrigal (Olympia Dukakis), her chosen family and a new generation of queer
young residents living at 28 Barbary Lane.”
Who is the cast
Laura Linney leads the Tales of the City cast she will play
Mary Ann, a role she played in the original 1993 TV version of the series. The
Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis will join as Anna Madrigal and Barbara Garrick
will join the cast as DeDe Halcyon Day and the Ellen Page as Shawna. Tales of the city include Paul Gross as Brian
Hawkins, Charlie Barnett as Ben Marshall, Murray Bartlett as Michael
"Mouse" Tolliver, Josiah Victoria Garcia as Jake Rodriguez, and May
Hong as Margot Park.
